In the central region of Namibia, older Herero women wear a traditional dress heavily influenced by the Victorian settlers, including "several petticoats" (apparently). The horn-shaped hat of rolled cloth is said to represent the horns of a cow. In the unbelievable desert heat here, it is hard to see this trend lasting.
